Looking forward to sharing in this wonderful hobby with everyone, Coming back from a 15 year hiatus, I'm a little rusty just picked up a copy of the "Joys of home brewing" any other reading materials y'all suggest for a novice home Brewer?

Welcome back!  There are a number of wonderful and insightful books out there.  My recommendation is How To Brew, by John Palmer.  Great book, easy read and packed with good information.

Good Luck!

I second How To Brew. It's a great place to start. Then there is a ton of others out there nowadays. Pick an aspect or style you like to brew and there is likely a book on it.

I agree with Brewing Classic Styles as a great resource for recipes, but also realize that style guidelines change with time, so you may not have the current style nomenclature or category designation when looking for a style from 15 years ago.  That has little to nothing to do with the recipe formulation for common styles, but it is worth noting when confusion arises over style designations from one era to the next (for example, the BJCP style guidelines changed at least twice during your hiatus and several new styles are common in craft and homebrewing circles).

In the end, it is still just about making beer, so I don't sweat it and I look at BCS when I need to get a recipe for a style that I rarely brew, but the AHA also has a great member resource for recipes of award winning beers from the National Homebrew Competition for prior years.

Cheers and welcome back!  The beer awaits.

"Simple Homebrewing".  Denny Conn and Drew Beechum.
Great place to start and a fun read.  Not textbook-y like many others.  And if you disagree with them, just let them have it right here on this forum!

Good luck!
