I recently got some IREKS Crystal Maple (2 Lovibond) from a friend who also has yet to try it. I looked for online reviews but didn't find any. Has anyone out there used it, and if so, does it actually have a maple flavor? The product description makes it seem very similar to a Carafoam-type malt.

"Description/Application: The lightest of the IREKS crystal malts serves to increase the foam stability and to raise the full-bodied taste of very
light beers, without influencing the colour of the beer.
Production: Green malt saccharified, caramelized and gently dried on the kiln floor."
