German hops in an Irish Stout?

What are your thoughts on using Mt. Hood or Willamette Hops in an Irish Stout?
Just got a fresh shipment of whole leaf hops.

German heritage on the Mt Hood and English on the Willamette. But both pretty distinctly American.

These are recommended as substitutes for the noble hops, as I can’t get them in whole leaf now.
Perhaps the question should have been...is it Ok to use German varieties of hops that are American grown.
