Keg Line Cleaner
« on: March 21, 2020, 10:57:06 am »
Hi,  What does everyone use to clean their draft lines?  I've use LLC from Five Star.    BLC from Craftmeister looks to be quite a bit cheaper if you by a 24oz bottle. Has anyone used that?

I clean my lines by recirculating the solution through the lines with a submersible pond pump if that as any effect on what is best.

I use BLC and it does a great job for me.

I use PBW for everything because I bought a ginormous drum of it.
Some day we'll look back on this and it will all seem funny

I use caustic to clean mine.  I can usually get some from a local brewery and it works well.

BLC is OK, but regular lye (caustic) is a superior organics remover. You do have to be very careful with lye though. I just cleaned a couple of beer lines and will get the stubborn stuff. Eye and skin protection is highly recommended.
