I learned something last night.  If you pour sugar into a carboy of fermenting wort, it becomes explosive.

So I found the recipe I had, which I recall made a nice beer, but nothing like the target. The hops weren't right.
This was 2009, where did the time go?
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Jeffy- curious as to how your 400th batches are turning out.  Inspired by this thread I brewed a Belgian IPA on 5/12 and I'm enjoying it immensely. 
On tap,  Vienna Lager, Doppelbock, Dortmunder Export, Pale Ale, Porter, Saison

Jeffy- curious as to how your 400th batches are turning out.  Inspired by this thread I brewed a Belgian IPA on 5/12 and I'm enjoying it immensely.
I got two distinctly different beers out of it, but neither has enough bittering for my taste.  The half fermented with Ardennes yeast is quite nice - I dry hopped it with Sterling.
