Fermenter Size

Are there any major draw backs of using a large fermenter for a smaller batch of beer? I bought a 15 gallon fermenter so that I can move to bigger batches but I still make 5 gallon batches from time to time. May not be ideal but how much of an issue would that be?

I have a half barrel SS Brewtech conical and occasionally do 5.5 gallons batches in it when I have another beer going in the SS 7.5 gallon conical.  A larger fermenter will work just fine.

i dont think you will have any trouble as long as you don't let it sit too long after primary with all that excess headspace, if i were you i'd just rack it as soon as its done into a keg/bottles
