BA/AHA cuts-Good Beer Hunting
« on: July 04, 2020, 12:58:01 pm »
I don't really want this to reprise the other post on this, but here's an interesting article on the BA/AHA cuts. Some complaints on the commercial side for cutting positions that support them while some staff is taking in 6 figure salaries. It would've been nice to see them try to retain more staff, but 70% revenue declines are hard to cope with.

It will be interesting in a few years when the 2020 990s are filed to review the cuts and how the affected upper management.
It's not a popularity contest, it's beer!

Looks like it's all about tax reform. I know they've been contributing to McConnell and other key congresspeople, the excise tax cut is supposed to expire soon. Not sure how helpful that is to most breweries, the stat I've heard is 74% produce less than 1000 BBL. Seems like help with state regulations might help more than $3500, but I could be wrong.
