Silicon cap for Clear Beer Draught system
« on: August 06, 2020, 08:17:14 pm »
Does anyone know of a suitable substitute for the silicon cap that goes on the end of the metal tube for the Clear Beer Draught System? Despite my best efforts I lost it (probably down the drain) and I only have one of these. I plan to treat myself to another system the first time I actually need two at the same time, and buy spare parts. I just wondered if anyone had a good sub. For now, I MacGyvered a fix out of a piece of plastic food wrap folded a few times over and a small SS hose clamp.

For $8.50 you can get a tune up kit with replacements. Shipping is free.

I hadn't caught that shipping is free on the tune-up kit. Thanks for pointing that out.

This is a timely question for me.  I was thinking of replacing the tubing and non-stainless parts on mine after a few years of use and I notice that they also offer a larger tune up kit for $16 that includes 4 pieces of the tubing length, also!  Score....

By the way, I use mine on my 13 gallon kegmenter to rack 10 gallons of clear beer from the primary to 2 serving kegs, so I only need 1 of these to cover multiple serving kegs racked from the kegmenter.  I skip the Clear Beer draft system in those cleared kegs.  They completely clear in the time it takes to force carb at serving psi.
