Yeah, I had a great weekend too. Took a trip to the mountains for a long weekend. Sitting by the fire, driving four wheelers, and drinking beer. Good times!

It's funny how BFI comes in, rambles incoherently and we're all off to the races.

My wife was a vegetarian for 12 years.  It helped make her a GREAT cook.  We lived in Eugene where its very easy to be vegetarian.

It's funny how BFI comes in, rambles incoherently and we're all off to the races.

A BFI walks into a café. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and proceeds
to fire it at the other patrons. 'Why?' asks the confused, surviving waiter amidst the carnage,
as the BFI makes towards the exit. The BFI produces a badly punctuated wildlife
manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

'Well, I'm a BFI,' he says, at the door. 'Look it up.'

The waiter turns to the relevant entry in the manual and, sure enough, finds an explanation.
'BFI. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves.'

OK, I'll bite. What is a BFI? I can think of many things that start with BF_ but I don't think I'm allowed to post them here.

This is one of those NBforum carryovers...I hate to say "you just had to be there", but well, yeah.

Followers of the phenomenom may possibly recall, for example:

"Drink up," said Ford, "you've got three pints to get through."

"Three pints?" said Arthur. "At lunchtime?"

The man next to ford grinned and nodded happily. Ford ignored him. He
said, "Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so."

"Very deep," said Arthur, "you should send that in to the Reader's
Digest. They've got a page for people like you."

 "Drink up."

"Why three pints all of a sudden?"

 "Muscle relaxant, you'll need it."

 "Muscle relaxant?"

 "Muscle relaxant."

I guess that was just too subtle.
It's a Ford Prefect.
It goes along with rabid_dingo's quote.
