I'm done
« on: October 24, 2020, 12:45:56 AM »
My wife's cancer got her. Today she was given just a few weeks left to live. Today, I had to sit down my 13 year old step daughter, my baby girl, just me and her and tell her that mommy is going to die in just a few short weeks. Please raise a point for me.

I will have a pint for you, and your wife.

Tough news in a tough year.  Your support will hopefully help your step-daughter.  Let her help you too.
I'll be thinking of you for the foreseeable future.  Hang in there.

I’m sorry mate. Having lost my best friend and my partner, one suddenly, the other all too slowly, all I can say is it’s time to give yourself permission to have no f##king idea what to do, and to do the best you can. I’m so sorry for all of you, as you’re all losing the lives of your life. There will be times the quiet will kill you, and times it will lift you. Good luck with the fathering challenges ahead. I can only imagine what they’ll be like. All best to you, your wife and your step-daughter.
