Intertap faucet locks
« on: December 23, 2020, 05:06:47 pm »
Hi all. Anyone know of any faucet locks that work on intertap faucets. I have teenagers in the house and don't want my homebrew to start disappearing. Thanks

Not helpful: if you catch your teenager drinking your beer, you should sit them down and drink keg after keg after keg until they don't want to drink anymore..

(Stolen from King of The Hill... And also possibly The Simpsons)

But real note I think there are some on the major kegerator sites.. I think I saw them when I was buying mine but didn't look because I didn't have a need.. I looked at kegerator.com and beverage factory when I was shopping around..

If you need to put things in your home under lock & key, you have a bigger problem than your beer disappearing.
Beer is my bucket list,

You could try pulling out the quick disconnects. Or if things are really dire putting the qd in a lockout tagout device like the one below:

Thing are not dire just trying to be responsible parent.  Not really worried about my kids getting into it. But with there friends around you never know.

If you're not super concerned, then you're better off just having some honest conversations and letting your kids know how much you trust them. That is probably a way better option than locking things up.

My son and his friends run amok in our basement all the time. But never have any of my guitars or amps (which are all out on display) been touched, let alone damaged. I feel confident that as long as we have the same level of trust as he gets older that my beer won't be an issue, either.
