Finished my Hop Water recipe!
« on: February 27, 2021, 12:59:18 pm »
This was a small thread a while back but I finally settled on something I love.  Started this for dry January and now on tap all the time now as a spacer and/or refresher.  Think Beer La Croix. Love to hear if you have another recipe you love or if you've tried this one.

2.50 gal   Water
2.50 ml   Lactic Acid   (bring pH to 4.6)
0.25 g   Nutritional Yeast - Steep 20.0 min, 170.0 F
1.00 g   Citra [12.00 %] - Steep 20.0 min, 170.0 F
1.00 g   Equinox [15.00 %] - Steep 20.0 min, 170.0 F

3. Chill to 170F
4. Lower pH by adding lactic acid to 4.6 or lower.
5. Add hops and yeast in mesh bag and let stand for 20 mins
6. Stevia to taste (it's powerful!)
7. Carbonate
8. Drink

Looks interesting.
Thanks for sharing this.  Any suggestions for carbonation level?  I'd guess maybe start at 4 volumes?

Like soda I usually set it at 30 psi then serve at about 20psi. Enjoy!
