Sugar vs CO2

I have been using CO2 for a long time now and I'm wondering if I am sacrificing taste in the process. Will using corn sugar instead of CO2 improve the taste of the brew ?? Thanks !

That’s been a hot topic for years here. Some say yes, the CO2 matters, some say no the CO2 doesn’t matter. Like everything in HomeBrew take what you read/hear and try it yourself to see if you agree.

I don't think you will notice a big flavor difference but the yeast may scavenge some o2 pick up from racking and prolong shelf life. As far as the taste co2 is flavorless.

I did a blind tasting many years ago of beers that were carbed with CO2, cane sugar, corn sugar, honey, DME and maybe a couple other things. None of the tasters could tell one from another nor did they have any preferences.
