Hydra immersion chiller
« on: April 08, 2021, 08:57:34 pm »
does anyone use the hydra immersion chiller by Jadedbrewing....I have an SS brewtech 15 gal kettle....19 inches high and wondering if anyone uses this chiller with this kettle and if the 20 inch high version of the chiller works well with this size of kettle.  They have a 25 inch high version, but I am not sure if that is really necessary.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I recently sent Jaded a note asking when their SS version of the Hydra will be available.  They answered right away.

BTW, if you are interested in a used 20” copper Hydra I know where you can pick one up.

I have that pot and use the 20" version.
Some day we'll look back on this and it will all seem funny

To EnkaMania,

Thanks, I was concerned the 20 just was not enough to hang over the lip of the kettle and still be sitting solid on the bottom.

When is that happening?
