Mead With Red Star Cote de Blanc yeast
« on: April 13, 2021, 04:43:23 pm »
This is the second time I have made mead mead with this yeast. Made 3gallons today with Ames Farms Honey, SG=1.130 temperature is at 65F. I'll add Vintners Raspberry fruit puree or I may try Amoretti Natural Artisan Raspberry puree. Any comments would be appreciated.

Sounds great. This yeast has won me a BOS when I added mulberry juice.

Good to know that Cote de Blanc yeast worked well in your mead. I usually use Lalvin 71B Wine Yeast in fruit meads.

Bottled 2.75 gallons of Raspberry Mead OG=1.113 FG=1.006. Very tasty my wife likes it a lot. Make mead for her so she will support my homebrew hobby  :)
