Sparging grains VS steep
« on: July 06, 2021, 08:47:11 am »
Using Beer Smith and noticed that when I put the dark grains as a steep it shows that it raises the gravity. I normally will put these in when I sparge and get great results.
Is there a difference in gravity with putting grains in the sparge and steeping?

That makes sense. Steeping grains will likely release more sugars due to the longer time in mash temperature range.
Beer is my bucket list,
