We had our own satellite Fest here in Puna.  It was good!

How was it?

I have to admit I missed it :-[ :-[ :-[ for the first time in I don't know when. Ms. Tubercle and I were both rushing around getting things done (she actually had to work) and by the time we had a chance to go late Sat we were exhausted. We just looked at each other and shrugged. Life gets in the way sometimes. Several of our friends that were there kept texting us and giving a play-by-play :D At least as long as they were able and the text were intellegable :o

The fest will continue. Debbie (Barney's wife) said it would go on. This was their main source of income besides Barney's recording studio.

The fest has been extended to 3 days and I believe they are opening the gates on Thursday now for those that want to camp.

I just hate I missed South85, they have a new CD out and I'm sure they did some of their new stuff.

I'm sure there will be new videos posted. I'll see if I can find  some.

Dang....

I didn't realize they had done a tribute film of his funeral....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wse2xt9YCNo

I know none of Y'all got to meet him but he was unique. But, not unlike many more like him who enbodies the spirit of really great people who loves nothing more than life. While watching this, I saw saw many of my friends, some I don't know their name nor them mine, and some I do. But even those I didn't know by name I would see them every year and we would share a smile, a nod, a drink and a sense of peace and commonallity.

We all know a Barney. Just some one who would sit and drink a beer with you.

I'm glad that through this forum I was able to introduce to you this one.

Cool tribute. RIP brother.

Damn man, cant believe it has been a year. Slipped by me to even ask.

Really cool that they are gonna keep it going.

I would still love to check it out some day. Should we start planning a get together for 3 days next year? We could make it like a pot luck of beer and food. Bet it would be gooood!

Beer, its whats for dinner.

Couldn't make it this year anyway. Really bummed about this, though.

Tonight @ 9:00pm (est) on the History Channel "You Don'y Know Dixie" comes on again. Ol' Barney is featured in a good part of it. They were in the process of filming this when he passed away.

Catch it if you get a chance.
