Crop duster grain mill
« on: February 13, 2022, 07:59:29 am »
Anyone have any experience with the Crop Duster grain mill from AIH? Or the Cereal Killer?
I only brew once a month: three gallons and generally 5-7 lbs of grain and the "top of the line" mills seem like overkill and are really budget busters.

I just buy my grain milled  Doesn't cost anymore and might as well let them do it.  LOL.  I do the same, once a month or so and 5 gallons at a time.  I might do 3 gallon BIAB just to see what it is like and bottle it.

I had never heard of the crop duster mill.  For $89 bucks it's a steal by the look of it.  It would probably work well and last a good long time at one batch a month.

I wore out my Barley Crusher twice and now have a monster mill 3 roller.  It's overkill but works great.

I have a Crop Duster, and it works just fine for what I do.

I'm not sure it'd be robust or fast enough if I were routinely doing big batches, but for my 1- to 3-gallon BIAB batches, it's been a great value for the price.

Edit: I crank it as fine as it'll go and drive it with my cordless Ryobi drill without any issues.
