Who is up for the Octoberfest at red stone this weekend?  I was thinking Sunday.

I can’t make it on Sunday. I am going caving that afternoon in Scottsboro.

I saw this information online.

It's official - I am unemployed :).  Officially retired the beginning of this month.

We are going to check out the Octoberfest at the Space and Rocket Center on Thursday.  Any background on it?

Congratulations!

Are you going to the Biergarten at USSRC or are they having a Oktoberfest event?

Details on the Biergarten are at this link.

The biergarten so we can get some German dinner and a pint (though I suspect it will be served in 1/2 liter servings.)

To quote one of the greatest philosophers of our time - Jimmy Buffett - “I have found me a home.”  We closed right before Thanksgiving and got everything delivered the week after. Still unpacking. All our nomadic years we got in the habit of only partly unpacking since we knew we would be moving again. Different this time, unpacking for the long term.
Probably won’t be brewing again until after the new year. That gear is not high on my wife’s priority plan for unpacking. ;).
Now just need to find a new job. Need an assist Keith? (Kidding)

Congratulations on the house!!!  It's always so nice to sit down one day, look around, and be able to say, we're home.

Enjoy the holidays and dig out the kettles and tun in January!

Paul
Where the heck are we going?  And what's with this hand basket?

Thanks Paul.
I think I have found most of my gear. Just haven’t set up a new place to brew. My wife says I can’t use her new kitchen anymore because I make too much mess :)

Well, the good (and bad) news is I have found a job.  I came to Rocket City to build missiles, and the one company with an undersea warfare mission in town found me.  Guess I am building torpedoes for the next few years.  Still have to get a new brewing arrangement set up, and a water quality test.

That sounds awesome to me. Congratulations. We need to have Huntsville AHA Forum meet up at Cross Eyed Owl.

I’m in. 1st round is on me.

Ron, I knew with your credentials it wouldn’t be long before a job came along. I tell people if you are *unemployed* in Huntspatch, you’re not lookin for a job.

Edit: added ‘un’ to ‘employed’ (thx Tommy)

My wife was complaining the same with our kitchen.
Then I realized I was leaving stuff for her to do after brewing.
Now I take the extra time and effort to leave no trace behind,
and leave it better than I found it, no more complaints.
On mess that is, smell is still a complaint I'm working on.

Cheers

I’d say that’s true anywhere (reread your post) ;)
