5th Annual NERHBC: entries, judges and stewards
« on: September 13, 2010, 04:58:55 pm »
Entries for the New England Regional Homebrew Competition 2010 are now open.   Entries will be accepted, between September 20th  and October 8th, with judging to be held at Redhook Ale Brewery in Portsmouth, NH on Saturday, October 23rd, starting at 9am.  Information about entering the competition, judging, stewarding, and sponsorship is available at http://www.bfd.org/NERHBC.

Winners will be selected from what are expected to be more than 300 entries of homebrewed beer, cider and mead from across the country. Last year, the United States and Canada were represented with 350 entries in all BJCP recognized categories. Brew Free or Die (BFD) and Southern Maine Homebrewers (SMH) clubs are jointly hosting the Fifth Annual New England Regional Homebrew Competition. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the American Cancer Society, and The Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine. In 2009, the competition donated over $2,000.00 to the charities.

Redhook Ale Brewery is the competition sponsor, while other sponsors include Sierra Nevada, Samuel Adams, Moonlight Meadery, Woodchuck Draft Cider, among many other local and national firms.  A complete list of sponsors is available on http://www.bfd.org/NERHBC.

For more information, including entry forms and registration for judges and stewards, please see the competition website: http://www.bfd.org/NERHBC.
