Liquid Gravity Brewing - Orange Cream Machine
« on: April 24, 2022, 08:40:42 pm »
We stopped by Liquid Gravity Brewing in Sn Luis Obispo CA and in addition to their many fantastic Hazy IPAs my wife fell in love with their Orange Cream Machine - Hazy Orange Creamsicle DIPA.

This is what I know:
8.0% ABV
48 IBU
And the beer tender tells me there is no lactose.
Sorry I know that's not a lot.

I am thinking of taking the Clawhammer Candy Orange Hazy IPA and adjusting it to make it an 8% DIPA and finishing it with a vanilla bean or two in secondary. I thought it had lactose AND vanilla but was told none of their beers have lactose.  Happy to hear any other theories as well as thoughts about hop selection.

2 Row Pilsner - 6lbs
Flaked Oats - 1lbs
Flaked Corn - 1lb
Flaked Wheat (1.6 SRM) - 1lb

Cheers!

I'm thinking Bravo could work here.
Some day we'll look back on this and it will all seem funny

Amarillo is another hop that brings a lot of orange.
