Think about the items we see/hear on TV, hear on the radio. Items we know inside-and-out. Are these reports usually accurate? IMO, no. Really makes me wonder about anything and everything reported on TV and radio.
As an example. Years ago, a commuter train derailed in Maryland. All reports mentioned, in a somewhat condescending tone, "This was a push-pull operation" as if this was something evil or precipitated in the derailment. No, push/pull is normal for just about any train. Simply indicates if the engine is in the front or the rear. Nothing more.
We once had village idiots. Now, with the internet and global communications, we’re subject to idiots all the time.
