You might have done it the hard way. You can use an auto siphon to siphon from the fermenter to a bottling bucket. They make small auto siphons for 1 gallon batches. And a bottling bucket with a spigot eliminates the need to siphon a second time. But you did make beer - congrats.

I haven't ordered from them in a long time. They had a poor response to a breakage problem with the Big Mouth Bubblers (IMO) a few years ago, but in general I think they are ok. Maybe others have more recent experience with them and can comment.
