San Diego at the Town and Country. One of my favorite venues.

A couple months ago I heard a rumor that it would be in S.D. and I looked to see what airport or city in South Dakota could possibly be a good fit.  It didn't even occur to me that they meant San Diego.

As a South Dakotan transplanted into southern California, I have this confusion rather frequently! "USD" is apparently not "University of South Dakota," and "LA" is not "Lake Andes."  ;D

Me, too.

They have it every third year in San Diego. They’ve never had it in South Dakota. So why would we think it’s in South Dakota?

[familiar rant] IMO the “American” HomeBrew Association should be renamed the “North East/Midwest/West Coast” HomeBrew Association based on their historical convention schedule despite overlooking a very large percentage of their membership demographics. [/familiar rant]

(Cue the hogwash about local laws in five, four, three…)

It was scheduled for Nashville when COVID hit and it was held in Orlando in 2006.  It turned out nobody wanted to go to Florida in June.  I'd love to see it return to New Orleans.

I'd love to see them give Nashville another try ... or Atlanta.

I might see if the wife wants to take a vacation and go.  I know most of it will be way over my head, but heck, it could be fun.  I looked at the hotel.  Very pricey.  Might look for a cheaper place close by.

Keep in mind that they have special rates for the conference. I think usually around March is when things start up and you can get the discount rates.
