5 gal kegs

Does anyone know how to remove the inlet and outlet knobs that have little locking pins.     Ed Meyer

I unscrew them using a pair of pliers.  I've seen people make slots in a socket so that it fits over the pins, but I've never felt that was necessary.

I would guess either an open end or box end wrench would work.  That is what I use.  I want to say it is 7/8 but I don't remember
