Pre Drink Rituals
« on: September 24, 2010, 07:17:30 pm »
In order to avoid getting drunk.... when you know saying no isn't really an option - What have you done?

Back in the day... I'd pull into dunkin donuts on the way to said event, half dozen doughnuts and an XL coffee.

Plus, you can eavesdrop on all the cops coming in to get an idea where the traps are... ( I kid because I am one)

So do the "I brew the beer I drink" bumper stickers garner any special consideration?  ;)

Double quarter pounder with cheese.

A lot of people put their faith in bready substances. I tried to make sure I purged at the appropriate time so I could go back to the party.

Big burrito. Meaty greasy stomach filler. GABF must, kind of burrito. If you buy yours at Taco
Bell, fuggidaboutit. Find a mom-n-pop restaurant that makes burritos. OH, Yeah!

A sign like this in the front window helps...

I always ended the night at a 24 hour joint with a double meat, steak burrito, everything, sour cream and avocado.

Did that sign come from a La Bamba's restaurant?

I like pretzels, the hard kind in a bag. When the drinking is over, Taco Bell is a must.

There's lot's around here(2nd largest Mexican population in US) - this was just a random pic off the internet.
El Famous is one of the larger joints with multiple locations. They advertise football sized burritos.

Sushi is great for the all night party, but I found that a big greasy shorma is good for  7 Schneider Aventinus & a Rochefort 10 in one sitting ;D

I think I have seen that sign in a burrito place in downtown Oshkosh or Appleton.

I like El Famous burritos. When I can get them delivered up north.

I don't like to eat anything before I drink.  ;)

However, anything bread-based is good for slowing down absorption. I like real bread not Wonder Bread. So a good hearty sandwich to soak up all that alcohol.

Homemade pretzels and mustard of course.
