Beer Mix Supplier in North-Central Florida?
« on: January 10, 2023, 09:31:39 am »
The closest city to me is Ocala, Florida. I'm maybe 90 minutes from Tampa and 75 minutes from Orlando. We have Airgas here, but I haven't found any beverage gas companies yet.

I would like to swap or fill a 5-lb. beer mix tank, but Airgas says they only do 20-pound bottles. CO2 is no problem.

Does anyone here know of a business closer than Orlando or Tampa that will sell me gas?
Go ahead. Make my IPA.

I'm not from the area, but have you checked Matheson?

Thanks for the reply.

Hearts Homebrew in Orlando told me about AWG, which is American Welding Gas or something like that. They are set up for homebrewers. I showed up and got 3 bottles replaced with no problems. They did charge me $25 for tests on the swapped bottles, but I think after 16 years that was to be expected.

It's a long drive for me, but Hearts Homebrew is such a great store, I plan to continue visiting them, and AWG is just around the corner from them.
