NHC final round question
« on: April 28, 2023, 04:08:59 pm »
Hello all, I'm pretty new to AHA and NHC and need some schooling. I entered for the first time this year and I've made it to the second round with my DIPA. Only problem is the beer was so damn good that it's gone. Am I able to brew another batch and send it in or am I SOL? If I'm being honest, I really wouldn't bother sending in a 5 month old DIPA for judging anyway; I sure wouldn't spend my money on one. Thanks for the help.

Yes, you can brew another batch and send it.
Congratulations!

Excuse the hijack. This is a newb question but this is my first HBC. Is the final judging done without knowledge of the regional scores and rankings?

Yes. The entries come in with no history.
I had a third place beer in the Regionals take first place in the finals many years ago.

Thanks. I took third in the regional so maybe I’ll have similar luck.
