My apologies to get anyone's hope up for a meet.  The car's cv joing puked all it's grease
onto the hot muffler in Hot Springs and there was not any abundance of subaru parts to be
found.....two days later I got the car functional again and that really tapped into my visiting.
I just could not fit in a visit to the aforementioned pub...maybe next time.   >:(

Sorry to hear you had Subaru troubles! I've got one myself, a 2008 Tribeca. Probably the nearest dealership was Tulsa or Little Rock? Just let us know the next time your around and we'll grab a pint.  :(

Yeah, It was Little Rock for the nearest Dealership. However what I wound up with
much to my chagrin, was aftermkt...napa....still it took overnite to obtain the part @ the shop.
I was fortunate that I found a good shop in Hot Springs that did NOT take me to the cleaners
and honored a different warranty from a different company...that actually worked out fairly well.
I was for sure at their mercy.

I would not have been so miffed except that I changed that CV joint not 30 days before I left....

corky, I got a 1/2 price room thru priceline at
Courtyard Tulsa CentralCourtyard Tulsa Central
3340 South 79th East Avenue
Tulsa, OK 74145

Good place to stay with a great breakfast kitchen in the place.  It is not real
close to McNellies tho.  I looked around downtown for a hotel that was within
walking distance to that pub and did not find anything I was willing to chance.

This day and age, there is supposedly a scourge of pests that can be acquired
staying at lodging chains....I don't need or want that ...so tend to shy away from
older downtown high rise lodging.

Next time... try the Courtyard Tulsa Downtown in the old Atlas Life Building for about $85/night. This place is history in T-town! It's about 3 1/2 blocks from McNellie's (+others), but they have a great little 50's diner & the press club bar on the bottom floor that always has fresh local (Marshall IPA or Pub Draught) beer on tap. It's an Übercool old building w/ remodeled rooms & lots of art deco! Our homebrew club had our competition awards ceremony there last year.  ;)

I'm not sure about parking, as I usually park in an adjacent garage when visiting the BOK center and it costs $5/day. Hotel guests may get a voucher?  ???
