Has anyone used wlp099?  I decided to give it a try in a barleywine with an O.G of 1.099. I'm curious as to what the flavors it might impart are.  I'm planning on aging this on for a bit as well as adding oak cubes to the secondary

I tried it out a few times. It doesn't have any better alcohol tolerance than Chico as far as I can tell, and it's much fruitier (too much IMHO). At 1.099 you should be able to use any strain without worry.

Beer is like porn. You can buy it, but it's more fun to make your own.
