I'll hopefully be skiing there this winter, so I'll take you up on that offer.  Always wanted to get down there again, and this is yet another perk along with the phenomenal snow!!

Are you planning on going to Silverton Mtn? I consider myself a pretty good skier, but I don't think I'll be tackling that this first winter...

Yep, I've been wanting to lay tracks at silverton since it opened.  Free the Heel, Free the Mind!   ;)

I dont know, I delivered pizzas there for a while as a second job. This about twenty years ago and with tips always made at least 20 per hour. Coarse the place had awesome pizza.

I may start delivering pizzas on the weekend again.  ::)

Yeah, this little career change will actually involve a pay cut. :-\

Judging from that article that Denny posted, looks like the pay was much much lower than I expected... I hope you're making enough to survive. I'm all for taking a pay cut to do something you love, hoping that the raises come swift and high but there is a limit...

Wow, now this is a gig.  Not many get a ticket into Silver town.

Indiana?

Many might consider a pay cut,
for a little of this:

I kid you not, this is exactly how it looks around there right about now,
come morning sun.

I recommend long johns, a good axe,  leather tele boots, and a reliable old four wheel drive. ;D
You better get here soon, and start stacking for winter.

Don't forget about local hops in your cans.

Cheers.

Silverton, CO. Great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

Do tell. You know a local hop farmer?

By the way go clean out that mash tun will ya!

Time-wise, that was by far the longest part of the interview/brew session. ;D

I'm just plain jealous.  ;D

I'll have to stop in...if I make it out west sometime.
Keep us posted on the move and the brewing tales.  ;)

Don't forget about local hops in your cans.

Do tell. You know a local hop farmer?

The new hop growing region of Colorado is over the hill to the north.

One can see hop poles being erected every year,
on a small local scale.

Areas with acres in production include the North Fork of the Gunnison
or closer yet,
the Uncompahgre Valley country, more appropriately named for your purposes: San Juan Hop Farms

The last few years,
local breweries come to the farm and assistant brewers get sticky fingers harvesting. 8)

Silverton, small place.  Could ride your one speed cruiser from one end to the other
in about 12 minutes.

Have fun.

Did I mention Moon Boots?  Yup, you'll need them. :D

Congrats!!!  You're the second guy I've heard about this week who got an assistant gig. And that location couldn't be cooler!
