Green Flash IPA Recipe Wanted
« on: October 10, 2010, 11:32:54 pm »
Just tasted the Green Flash IPA over the weekend.  Anyone have a recipe for this one?  I've found a couple, but would prefer seeing what this forum can provide.  Thanks in advance for the help.

They did this on Can You Brew It on The Brewing Network and it was spot on.  Nathan Smith was the brewer for this one and gives some good tips in the podcast.  This is going to be my next brew.

I was actually looking for the Imperial IPA... not the 7.2% ABV West Coast IPA.  The Imperial IPA is 9.2%.  I noticed the Green Flash website says they use Nugget and Summit hops for the bigger beer.

Green Flash is a fantastic beer, thanks for pointing out that recipe.  I'm going to add it to my brewing schedule.

Here's Saco De Toro's Green Flash Imperial Recipe:

I'd really like to like summit, but right now the only beer that uses it (that I'm aware of) that I really enjoy is the Oskar Blues Gubna. I plan to give it another shot someday...maybe...
