brewed 5 batches one day, never again

4 is even pushing it, 3 is no problem

I can't brew that often due to other obligations, so I like to make the day worth it, especially since it's normally a vacation day taken for the purpose, or sometimes one day out of a holiday weekend

The 24 Gal Boys of Savannah (Kernel Dustjacket, Vince X, & yours truley) did 40 brewing units one day.  5 units Weizenbock, 35 nits Weissbier.  Could have pulled another 10-15 Berlinner Weisse if we had the carboys availble.

I have done two 10 gallon batches in one day, but needed the next day to recuperate! I do my normal 10 gallon brews in about 5 hours including clean up.

If you count Friday night, I've brewed three, ten gallon batches, kegged ten gallsons, and drank "about" ten gallons.  LOL.

I've had a couple 3 batch (5 gal) days.  Boy that's hard work!  I think the 1st time it took me almost 12 hours or so.  I remember my back was killin' me the next day.  The second I must of streamlined it somehow 'cause I think I did it in around 9-10 hrs.

I just bottled a 5 gallon batch and brewed a 5 gallon batch in a day. it took about 5.5 hours including a nice 90 minute drive in the country while the new batch was mashing. Wouldn't want to do more than that.

Eh, no idea really. Probably 20 gallons or so. I don't usually stack up too much into a single weekend. Plus, I can brew really easily on weekdays so that makes things easier. (yay telecommuting!)

I've done 2 10gal batches back to back a few times, and I'll never do it again if I can help it - takes the fun out of brewing a bit.

Also did a partigyle Barleywine/Bitter and then an Old Ale right after that (13gal total) - I think that may have been worse with the stress of coordinating 2 boils whilst trying to get strike water, grain, etc. together for the third.

I've gotten the impression from this thread that a lot of us have tried or been "forced" to brew more than usual, and not many of us enjoyed it.  It makes me wonder if I would enjoy professionally brewing as much as I like to daydream about.

I've always wondered if brewing professionally would ruin a perfectly good hobby.  I've helped brew at a couple of 10 barrel breweries and found the work to be hard, but satisfying.  Certainly not as much time to relax because there is always something that needs to be done in a commercial setting as opposed to reading a magazine and smoking a cigar while the mash converts at home.  There's most likely more stress involved in making beer that is good enough for people to want to buy.  A mistake could potentially cost a lot of time and money.

Lately I'm thinking any change in pay would be an improvement.
