What's Brewing This Weekend - 10/29 Edition
« on: October 27, 2010, 11:24:57 am »
This weekend's grand plan - trying to figure out where everything gets stuffed in the new brewery... and how best to abuse the fact that I have a beefy sink and independent hot water heater.

I installed a sink and water heater for brewing a few weeks back.  They made a huge difference in my work flow, but maybe the biggest difference was having more counter space!

I'll be brewing Herman Holtrop's Rochefort recipe this weekend.

Denny - did you install an on demand water heater (tankless) or with a tank?  I am thinking about that for my brewery - would make things a bit quicker on brewday.

I can only dream of the day when I'll have room for a dedicated sink with a tankless.  This weekend, i'll be transfering a session stout to secondary and perhaps kegging an IPA.

My weekend consists  of kegging my 60-minute IPA, building a workbench, brewing some Patersbier, and trick-or-treating.  And watching college football in between.

No brewing for me this weekend.  I'm going to bottle my AIPA on Friday.  Have two birthday parties on Saturday, and All Hallows Eve on Sunday.  Maybe brew Sunday morning... but I doubt it.

Allegedly I get a weekend off starting noonish tomorrow so I'll brew 10 gallons of meal stout tomorrow, crabapple cider on Saturday and either an alt or rye pale ale on Sunday

all brewing plans scratched from the docket per the judge...  can't complain though... I've got 33 gallons of beer sitting in fermentors around the house not to mention all the stuff in bottles...  the ipa can sit another week, not too concerned.

It's a 4 gal. under counter model.  It has a tank, but it's only 4 gal.
