Reading through the thread makes me wonder... where are the female brewers?

I was actually thinking about doing a post to ask that question... I am sure there are a few others on the Forum. I know several women homebrewers, and see even more on Twitter, but I don't think they belong to the AHA.

In the 18th century, nearly 80% of all licensed brewers were women. Ask your wife to come on board!

I had wanted to enter a brew in Queen of Beer, but the beer timed for that session had a lot of challenges (it was the first brew in my new kettle and outdoors).

Hence 'Ale Wife' It was one of the things included with keeping a house for most of beer making history. My wife may help me this weekend (assuming she is not in labor or has just given birth, in which case neither of us will be brewing) She also wants to make a hefe when there is time.

My wife bought me my original homebrewing kit and has always been a huge supporter.  As an example...we're working on a bathroom remodel.  She wanted to get a custom made fused glass sink.  Very arty, very expensive...so expensive that I didn't ask how much.  If that's what she wants, that's what she deserves.  She brought home the prototype and I was astounded to see that she'd had the artist make glass hop leaves and cones and set them into the sink!  WOW!!!!

It's good to see that there are women brewing beer. It's not just a man's hobby. In my homebrew club, we have alot of women that participate and actually brew beer.
