Not brewing anything this weekend, but looking at my brew calender it seems I need to move an Apfelwine to a secondary.

I did a little bottling from kegs this morning, then racked my Belgian IPA to a keg, rinsed some yeast, cleaned up a lot of equipment and right now I'm making a big old pot of crab and andouille gumbo.  (It was a one beer roux).

Slow drinking or high heat?

Racked a star fruit mead from the 10 gallon stockpot/fermenter into a 7 gallon glass carboy.  Man did that smell and taste good!

Eyeballing another 22 gallons of mead that's ready to bottle.

Let me see... wash 9 cases of wine bottles, or go snorkeling in the Wai`opae tide pools in Kapoho?  hmmm...

Ya know... I think those bottles can wait for another day.

Mostly slow drinkin'.  I burnt a roux once so I try to pay attention.

Flavor-wise (roux and beer) it pays to go slow.

Then I'll be watching the Bears cream the Vikings.

Allow me to correct your typo: "Then I'll be watching the Vikings cream the Bears."   ;D

Care to place a friendly beer-related wager on that? I dunno how we'd work out the wager-ing but I'd bet my Cutler against your Favr-e-uh any day. Maybe something like: If the Bears win, you brew X for the next brew day, if the vikings win, I brew X for the next, etc?

The Bears have a short week this week.  See you in Miami on Thursday.

Hi everyone, I am new.

Sunday I did a parti-gyle of a doppelbock and a traditional bock. It was my first double decoction and I'm pleased to say I did pretty well. Only a minor scorch on the first decoction. I chilled them overnight and right now I'm getting ready to bubble in some O2 and pitch.

Merde!  I guess it's a good thing I didn't see your post until this morning ;).
