I don't believe this is true as well.

It is notable that if this were true, a bottle suitable for bottle carbonation at, say, 2.5 volumes would be suitable for counter pressure bottling force carbed beer at very high levels, at least 40 volumes. I am guessing nobody thinks the latter is true, but the former implies it.
