Favorite movies
« on: November 14, 2010, 05:31:39 pm »
Okay folks. Besides beer drinking I like movies. Sometimes they even go together. ;)

Favorite two movies of all time:

Segio Leone's 1966 Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo

Ridley Scott's 1977 The Duellists

Man this is hard.

My list is long, and if you asked me to name ten it may be different next week.  ::)

'Barry Lyndon' is most likely my top pick. Strange, I know. I just think it is perfect.
Beer, its whats for dinner.

Barry Lyndon is a damn good movie.

And that he came to such a poor end... :'(

The Leone trilogy is good, I'd agree there.

My favourites include:

Zulu.  Michael Caine's first and a classic.

Breaker Morant, great Boer War military courtroom drama, if a bit propogandistic for the Aussie side, as might be expected...its an aussie film.

Kurosawa's High and Low, Yojimbo, and a number of his other ones.

Martin Short and Charles Grodin in "Clifford" are very funny, I think, but I was somewhat young when it came out.  Still love that movie.

WC Fields in Its A Gift is him at his (IMO) best.
