 Love both of these. About once a month I get that damn "Bridge on the River Kwai" song stuck in my freakin' head a go around whistling it all day. Drives Ms. Tubercle up the wall.

Which leads me to the the John Tuturro. I've always considered him more of a serious type of actor. His acting in Miller's Crossing was amazing. He's shown up in several of Sandler's movies and not much else...

His character Jesus, in The Big Lebowski, is my favorite by far!

Which got me thinking about Mad Max. Wow! Not a big budget not particularly well made. And Mel Gibson- fresh faced still with his puppy fat. Who would have thought he would turn out to be a crazy fokker.

Tin Burton's remake of Planet of the Apes was filmed out on the Kilauea lava flows here on Hawaii Island.  Pretty cool being there when dey did dat!

I think he should have been shot for making that piece of crap remake. When I heard he was doing it I thought he would move the story closer to the book.
