Hey punatic, TV instead of movies, but what do you think of the new Hawaii 5-0?  I'm enjoying it.

Am I the only one that liked Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia?  Or just the only one who's seen it?

Awesome movie, almost made my top three western movies list, maybe not actually a western but it is to me. I love this movie, its one of the top one hundred movies ever made. and its near the top of that list. Sam Pekinpah was one of the best directors for sure.

Ah, too bad.  I really like the original as well, but find the new one entertaining too.

I like the new one, particularly how the opening channels the original.  Gave me goosebumps the first time I saw it.

The dynamic between McGarrett and Dano is different in this one, more like a buddy cop thing than a sensei-kohai from the original.  The SciFi lover in me likes the casting of Daniel Dae Kim (and his shotgun) and Grace Park as the rest of the crew.

My only boeuf is the way they mix the sound.  The background music and noise drowns out the dialog.  I have to shut off the surround channels to be able to understand what they're saying.

Anybody remember the movie game thread from the last forum? The one where we were giving movie lines and another person would indicate that they knew the film by giving another line? That was fun cause the movie would stay in play through out the thread. I remember some of them took several lines till I got them. What fun!!!

Well Bob, I built the chair that Bruce Willis sits on that lifts him up to the TV ball. I also helped build the tv ball and crane truss for the TV ball. I worked on the cages in the prison he is in in the future. Some other things, Im tring to remember, some of the mechanical for the time machine. A bunch of other odds and ends. I never worked on any of the locations for that movie but I really wanted to. I wasn't credited either but the guy I worked for was. Paul Williams. Back then I worked in the local scenery shops, worked on a few movies and TV shows.

"Here lies Mary Lee, died at the age of a hundred and three. For fifteen years she kept her virginity, not a bad record for this here vicinity. "
