My favorite western is My Name is Nobody. Man I love that movie. I remember my dad took me to see it in the movies.

Definitely will have to see "Dead Man." I like most anything J. Depp is in with the exception of Sweeney Todd. A Musical!? Please...  :P

I used to laugh my but off as a kid at Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer in the "Trinity" films. Hilarious.

High Plains Drifter has always prompted me to think about who or what he was. Avenging spirit returned to earth? He made everyone pay... one of those movies that makes you think- much like Lost in Translation.

Funny, I always figured it was his brother there for revenge, and he just wanted everyone to think he was a ghost to freak them out.  :)

Watched Alice in Wonderland a couple weekends ago. Thought it was entertaining.

Isn't there a thing (urban myth?) about starting Pink Floyd'sDark Side of the Moon and the Wizard of Oz at the same time?

If they HAVE to do it, I think Tim Burton would be my choice to make it.

A remake of True Grit is coming out on 12/22/10, with Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn. Jeff Bridges is certainly no John Wayne.

Ehhhh... I would cry foul, True Grit is one of my all time favs, but it is a Coen Brothers movie so there is hope. The Coen brothers have about 3 or 4 in my top ten list.

I think it isn't a remake of the movie but inspired by the same book. At least that was what I gathered from the Larry King interview with Jeff Bridges last week.

You have to start Dark Side of the Moon just as the yellow brick road start to change to color.  From there on the music tracks pretty close to action in the movie.

I havn't tried it at that point but I have tried it with the MGM lions third roar and that worked pretty well. (Not all versions have three roars though you have to find an older version, probably on VHS)

Presumably those cues are for 8-track, though, right? Anyone know if the CD has the same transition times between tracks?

This movie will be awesome. It is the Cohen Brothers. I heard they are also making another western simultaneously.

You can watch Dead Man on youtube in parts. From what I understand, Jim Jarmusch allows it.
