Group,

I'd like to give homebrew as Christmas presents.  Is there any way to ship it legally?

Thanks for the help,
Randy

Ummm. As "yeast samples" or just simply neglect to tell them actually what it is.

FWIW I've had bottles break on their way and never had to answer to anyone. Yet.

Shipping via the US Postal service is illegal.

So use FedEx or UPS and package it up really well.

Don't use USPS.  Don't tell the others that you;re shipping beer or even "yeast samples".  Just say it's "gifts".

Or get your own free account on UPS for FedEx and do it yourself.  No need to tell anyone anything.

I ship UPS regularly and I let them know that there is glassware in the shipment.

I've shipped soda bottles of beer to friends in the past. No worries about broken glass.
