Around here there was a guy on TV called Captain Noah. ooooh on Sat afternoons there was Dr, Shock.I used to think Dr Shock and Captain Noah were the same man. Dr Shock put on monster movies. Remember Gene London? Was Rip Taylor on that show? What ever happened to Gene London?

Well, he was a Marine, but never saw combat.  His badassedness rests simply on him being a Marine (and don't get me wrong, that is plenty badass).  But maybe not proven as much as other Hollywood types like Charles Durning, David Niven, Jimmy Stewart, James Doohan, Lee Marvin, Oliver Stone, there's a long list.

And let's not forget Audie Murphy.   He became famous because he was a war hero, but still . . .

I liked it. Very evocative really...

Not frightened of clowns either, though I can see why people would be. I always thought Shakes the Clown was funny.

I have always been fascinated by clowns even until this day.  There's an element of surprise and cheer about them.
They have an entertaining quality as well.  A perfect avatar IMO.  8)
