Happy Thanksgiving.

Who is having beer with their meal?  What are you serving?  If after eating, how well did the pairing work?

I tend to have English brown ales, Vienna lagers, traditional bocks and the like.  This year I think I'll have a maibock and a Belgian dubbel.  If the inlaws get too irritating, then it's straight to the Scotch.

Long Story Cap and ugly...for damn near 20 years I was junior ;man...got mandated on the holidays.
Now the then senior guy is gone and I am sr.  New ppl have come on board...they are the apple
of the umpah loompa's eye and they cry to him when they get (by union contract) mandated
on their holiday and he listens....then trys to schedule to placate them and in that process
incorrect protocol surfaces and it usually winds up in a grievance being filed....so since
umpah loompa can't seem to pull a correct schedule out of his noodle, and does not want to deal
with the Union repercussions, he just has made it his policy to SCHEDULE ALL of my Craft employees
on Every Holiday,,,with the one contracted exception being those in my section (only one at a time)
that have pre scheduled or bid annual leave pre scheduled a year in advance,in conjunction with a holiday...
So now even tho I spent my time in the barrel and paid my dues being junior mandated, I get to
play Senior mandated....it is just Wonderful...and that my friend is the reason why.

However, there is one bright pinpoint of light…
We are now allowed to opt for a comp day in lieu of
double time pay  on the holiday. So I do the paperwork
and opt for straight time pay today and take my comp day
at the most inopportune time for nice lil oompah loompah
to force him to have to pull a scheduling dilemma  out of his
thin noodle anyhow….retribution is MINE
