So maybe I should only add Ca flavor ions with gypsum and CaCl, which won't increase alkalinity. Water chemistry is so much tougher for non-scientific minds like mine!!
+1. I think I am at middle school chemistry level now. Hopefully in a few more months I might be able to hold my own with the high school students. However, I do like learning this stuff and since it will make my beer better I have incentive to work at it.
