I got my four banger working!
« on: November 30, 2010, 08:30:33 pm »
As promised I am posting some pics of the new addition.

It's my new four banger kegerator.  8)
I used four Perlick forward sealing faucets installed through the collar on a Kenmore 7.5cf Keezer.
I have the CO2 cylinder inside the keezer. Six foot serving lines 3/8" ID. Pours like a dream.

I'm also using a Johnson digital controller.
The only thing left to do is install the drip tray that's on order.

Saweet..... Nice clean install, like the manifold, and love the Pelick$.......

Did notice you've been banned to a rather unfinished corner of the basement...... Guess that's where the man cave is being installed, and that the keezer is just the first step..... Well, at least you have your priorities in order. Sound system is next, THEN the framing.....  ;D

Thanks gents!  8)

I appreciate the nice comments.

I ordered a 13" SS driptray with a full backsplash and drain. It's on it's way from NB.

OK, after looking at this some more, I noticed the collar is 2-part? Styro inside? Or is it wood and you cladded the inside? Got a 4 foot break? Hard to tell what you did...... Inquiring minds want to know.... ;)

Yes it's a three gallon keg.

I am hoping to get another for the empty position.

Excellent work, Ron!!  Looks so clean 8) I like the 1x8 facade. I have had nothing but perfect pours since I built my four tapper.

Thanks.

I kept thinking about yours...I wanted to get it done sooner but kept getting delayed by the honey-do list.

I'm sure you know how that is.  ;)

I am pleasantly surprised by it's performance.

Down inside the bottom of the chest.  You can barely see the regulator gage in the last picture.

anythought to drilling a hole through the collar and keeping the CO2 outside the box to free up a little additional space?

Yes.  I have thought about that, but because of the inside width limitation I can only fit three cornies down in the lower compartment
hence the room for the CO2 cylinder.

...until you buy the 20 lb tank... maybe my favorite all time investment - it lasts FOREVER and when it does die I have the old tank as a backup! No stopping the flow!
