I took my CPA exam when I turned 30... It opened a lot of doors for me.  Congradulations! Accountants make good brewers, very much on top of their numbers, ya know!

Congrats dano!  You going to take the CPA exam?  What kind of job are you working, or hoping to get with the accounting degree?

Thank you all!

Yes, I am going to take the CPA exam. My next goal! I have been working for a CPA for the last 5 years as a tax accountant and staff accountant. Hopefully he will keep me around until he retires in 5 - 7 yrs and I can take over/purchase this practice.

Hawaii 5-0 was where I got the nickname, way back when I was in High School, watching late night TV friends. ;-)

Have a great day!

[Sorry, but I can't resist, being from Hawaii... Book'em Dano!

Since he's got an accounting degree, it should be "Close those books, Dano" :)

Go to any good keggers while at school? :)

All kidding aside, congratulations.  I can barely find time to brew, let alone go back to school.
Or is that cook the books :P

Congratulations. I changed careers when I was 35, but I was single and able to go to school full time. I respect anyone who has the perseverance to do it part-time.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

I would shoot for that since you'll probably lose a semester's worth of brain cells at NHC. :)

Congrats on the milestone!!!

Maybe there's still hope for me at 46... probably not.

My oldest is a high school senior next year and is starting to look for a college now.  I have to admit that my third kid almost lost her head when she answered the "what do you think you want to do after high school?" with maybe beauty school.  Dad didn't win any awards that evening.  I think she understands the concept of aim higher now, and that Dad means it when he says don't do what I did.   ::)

Way to stick with it!!

Yeah, and don't plan on brewing between December and April!

I think I can get one, maybe two more brews in before Jan 1. Then everything in life gets put on hold until April 16th.

I just hope I have enough homebrew stocked t make it to the end.  ;)

Congrats, dano.

I decided to go back to school in my mid 20's for engineering but found it too difficult for me to manage.  I raise my glass to you for sticking through it..  especially 8 years!!!!

That might explain why it's taking so long to graduate ;)  Too many NHCs.
