Low temps and overnight winter storm dropped 1-3 inches of snow: schools cancelled all over the tri-state area! I remember going to school with a lot more snow than this!

It's a brisk 26F outside right now. Yesterday we had rain, frozen rain, sleet and snow. We usually don't get this cold until early December but I am happy to see some cold weather.

-10°F and 14" on the ground currently and the kids are headed to school...

80F yesterday, a little colder today, and it will be much colder tonight when I get home.

25F with three inches of new snow. And it's going down to 8F tonight with wind chills of -8F.  Way too early for weather this sh#^^y. Hoping the whole winter isn't a polar vortex.

Yes, very sad tale to tell about children that can't go to school with 3" of snow. I was out this morning at 9am, and that is 2 hours after buses would have had to drive. Never even put my truck into FWD. Highway, city streets, back roads with treacherous hills and switchbacks. All clear enough for speed limit. The school and the kids will complain come spring break when they lose part of spring break to make up snow days...

Typical Far East Washington spring. Wild temp swings a bit of rain a a whole lot of wind. Some day near 70 but nights in the low twenties....I do live pretty high up.
If it ain't broke let me have a go at it.

It's definitely caught me by surprise. I just kegged the doppelbock; the maibock hasn't even been brewed yet.

We certainly need the rain, but my backyard has flooded for the second time in a week. I'm gonna have to get the pump working in a few hours and move it all to the street. ???

Snowed here today...AGAIN.

There are signs that spring may be on its way, though. I'm probably going to have to get the pump going, too, when all this snow melts.

I don't know about you, Euge, but going down to the basement to "pump out" is always a good excuse for a cold beer.  8)

yup, snow here too. big fat flakes a fluttering down. still pretty warm (upper 20s, lower 30's) but supposed to drop to single digits tonight or tomorrow night. I love winter. particularly when I only have to struggle through February and march... and April maybe.
