yup, snow here too. big fat flakes a fluttering down. still pretty warm (upper 20s, lower 30's) but supposed to drop to single digits tonight or tomorrow night. I love winter. particularly when I only have to struggle through February and march... and April maybe.
Yep, still cold, still snowing. But started more seeds inside today: celeriac, celery, collards, chinese cabbage, leeks, and broccoli Raab. Packages of bees arriving in one week.
Don't let the bastards cheer you up.

Nice! You are a true optimist with faith enough in Mother Nature to plan for spring even while witnessing the bleak reality of a winter that refuses to yield.

I'm hoping to tend bees someday when I retire and have a bigger lot of land.

Opposite problem here, getting up to the mid-80's today. Spring has sprung here and with the bees swarming around the trees and hedges outside, I may wait for a "cooler" weekend next week. It's already 10 AM, so my brewing window is slowly closing!

Sure, go ahead and rub it in.  ::)

It seems like we skipped Spring altogether and went directly to Summer.  It's 81F right now.

Yep. Up in Gainesville, right now sitting around the pool and drinking a beer.

Wife tells me the water temperature is 74*. Might have to take a quick swim before dinner.

Wet, wet, wet. I'm in Fort Worth and thankfully we haven't experienced any serious flooding here but it is getting closer. Last weekend there was bad flooding just south of Dallas. My garden is a swamp and several plants are struggling to survive in it.

Wet, wet, wet.
^This^ I wish we could ship this rain to Cali.  We don't need anymore for a while.

I'll take some up here in New England as well. I think we've gotten about 30 minutes of drizzle in all of May. I haven't bothered to direct-sow any veggies in my garden since it's like a dustbowl.

Wet wet wet... I am just west of Bastrop, Texas, far enough from the Colorado River to avoid anything serious. We got a little water in the house up through the foundation from the water shed uphill. Ducked a tornado but no damage. Very fortunate compared to my neighbors east of town (dam break took out several homes just rebuilt from the fires in 2011) and those south (San Marcos and Wimberly) or even Houston.

We have another big storm coming this week, but it looks like maybe a dry stretch for at least a week after that. We need to dry out some, but filling up the reservoirs, aquifers and lakes is welcome after a 14 year drought. Just not at the cost of the lives lost to the floods.
