It has been absolutely gorgeous here for the past week.  Highs in the mid 70sF and lows at night in the upper 50s.  It makes it hard to imagine that people are still snowed in up north.

12 inches of snow a couple of days ago, right on the heels of a warm spell that had melted all the previous. 5* this morning. Arrgghh...

It's around 35 now.  Calling for 49 later today.  It's overcast and is supposed to snow tomorrow night.

Sooo... it's pretty much late February in Central Iowa.  This time of year it may hit 80 and may drop to -10 and it may do both in the same 24 hour period.  It keeps life interesting.

Unseasonably cold.  Lows in the mid teens the next couple days and up to 14" of snow at the elevation my house is at.

I was thinking peppers and tomatoes, and hops would be ok if you can control diseases, I'm thinking mildew with the high humidity.

Our predicted massive winter snowstorm (up to 6" in some places) caused schools to be canceled for the day.  It is not snowing.  We have less than an inch on the grass and the roads are completely clear. ::)

Lows have been mid 30's to low 40's, highs have been in the 80's for a week now.  It's great that the heater hasn't come on in a week but I came close to turning on the AC Monday.

It's warm and muggy. Maybe there'll be some rain tomorrow- which we need. This is how it usually is: we get a warm snap in February and then it cools down again. The AC has been on a few times.

Ha, cancelling school for a predicted storm! in VT when I was a kid they didn't cancel school unless the number 1, 2 and 5 busses were in a ditch on their roofs on fire!

They did that 2 years ago here.  All the weather folks were preaching doom and gloom and we're all going to die!!!   We never saw a flake.  This year, they delayed school an hour for 8" of snow and ice and my son totaled the car.

Everyday, roll the dice, see what you get.

They must have figured it would be easier to keep the kids home than to get them to school and have to send them home again.  Still no snow and Wednesdays are short school days so the kids would all have been sent home in less than an hour in any event. :-\  That's fine, we're having fun. ;D

There's still a Winter Storm Warning! and it's still supposed to snow.  Although to be fair to the meteorologists, they did say it was only an 80-90% chance of snow.
